On April 29, the North Babylon English as a New Language (ENL) department hosted its first virtual ENL Family Night. In celebration of National Book Day, ENL students and their families were invited to contribute a read-aloud in any language to a shared Flipgrid board prior to the event.
At the virtual event, ENL teachers facilitated a variety of online games that students were able to join. They were also invited to view a bedtime story from the Flipgrid library.

Additionally, resources about the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) including videos and documents, were available for parents to access on a Google Classroom page. Students and families enjoyed the evening, even through a screen!
