What's Happening: Thursday's Events

A hot and humid day around Deer Park and North Babylon means its time to see what's going on to stay cool!

The hot and hazy weather returns to Deer Park once again with temperatures soaring up to 86° in the afternoon. While there is not a chance of a thunderstorm according to the National Weather Service, an Air Quality Alert for the area – it is recommended those with health conditions, the young and the elderly keep from extended outdoor activities.

Give the kids an unforgetable adventure with the  at Cedar Beach Marina! Campers ages 6-12 will explore Long Island’s marine habitats on the beautiful south shore beaches in Babylon. Unique specialized sessions for ages 6-8 and for 9-12 offered by Cornell educators. US Coast Guard visits campers to teach marine safety and protecting the waters from pollution. Each week costs $225 and starts at 9:00 a.m.

The Suffolk County Police Department 1st Precinct  will hold its monthly . Come and discuss the latest in crimes and other police activities in our area at 7:00 p.m. in Lindenhurst.

Get the kids together for a  at the Deer Park Community Center! Two divisions for ages 8 through 10 and 11 through 13 will be held Thursday and Friday. Co-ed teams of your choice can compete – $10.00 per team!
