Tom Swafford, Brooklyn Arts Council Community Arts Fund Recipient, presents BECOMING HUMAN
A concert of theatrical, humorous music about posture, status and acquiring a genuine sense of self worth. The idea grew out of a situation most of us encounter: when you approach someone on a narrow path or a crowded street, how do you decide who will yield? Featuring Tom Swafford, composer/violin; Gelsey Bell and Amirtha Kidambi, singer/performers and The Cadillac Moon Ensemble. For all ages. $15 suggested donation.
Tom Swafford can often be heard playing his violin on subway platforms. He is also an accomplished composer, with a Ph.D. in composition from U.C. Berkeley. He has presented composition concerts at The Stone and Roulette.
