Check out photos from this year's event, which for the first time featured a festival instead of a traditional parade.

EAST ISLIP, NY - For East Islip’s latest homecoming, change was in the air as the district debuted an exciting Homecoming Festival instead of the traditional parade.

The event, held at the Early Childhood Center soccer fields, featured carnival games created and run by high school students, as well as a DJ spinning upbeat music, a rock-climbing wall and other festivities. EI spirit was in full effect, with faces painted in red and white.

The varsity Redmen provided some exciting football action at the ensuing game, despite losing to Sayville, 35-14.
