17-Year Old Left Alone After Mom Dies Needs Help, Friend Says

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Tragedy has left a 17-year old alone without his mother and with no means of support, said a woman in East Hampton trying to help.

A GoFundMe, "Young Teenager Now Left Without Mom," was created by Jennifer Corbey-Chavez.

"We’re asking for your financial assistance . . . for funeral expenses," the page said. "Belinda Hinzmann was a single mother of a 17-year old son. Belinda suffered from a massive heart attack leaving her son behind. Her son has no current means of income and is still current in high school. We’re asking any little amount that you're able to give."
