Amagansett School Closed Monday After Plumbing Issue Discovered
The basement of the school was found to be flooded on Monday morning.

Amagansett School closed down the school on Monday after staff discovered an issue with the school’s plumbing on Monday morning.
According to the school’s website, the school has “no water and no bathrooms.”
Cheryl Bloecker, the district clerk, told Newsday that the basement was found to be flooded and workers will be draining the basement and will try to make the repairs in time to resume classes on Tuesday.

The cause of the flood is still unknown.
Students will have an even shorter week since since classes will cancelled on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
