Author of Children's Book Visits Sag Harbor Elementary School

Sag Harbor Elementary School students learned what it takes to be a writer when Christian McLean, author of the popular children’s book “Duckhampton,” visited them during a recent morning program.

McLean, a Sag Harbor resident, spoke to students about his craft and read from his book, which chronicles a family of Central Park ducks who fly out to the Hamptons for the summer.

As he read the tale aloud to the students, the Sag Harbor Educators Drama Department, consisting of teachers and administrators, acted out the story.
