Body of Missing Woman Found In East Hampton Off Springs-Fireplace Road
The body of Andrea Gabriella Armijos was found in the woods on Sunday, Sept. 28 after she had gone missing a day earlier.

The body of a 21-year-old female was found covered in dirt, hanging from a tree, with her sweater made into a make-shift noose in the woods behind Bistrianβs sand mining pit off Springs-Fireplace Road in East Hampton last week, 27east reports.
The body of Andrea Gabriella Armijos, a native Ecuadorian who had been in the United States a little over a month, was found on Sunday, Sept. 28 after her brother-in-law, Manuel Pucha, of Springs, and his family went into the woods to look for her, according to 27east.
Armijos was last seen on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 a.m. When she didnβt return home, Pucha grew worried and searched for her Saturday night but could not find her.

Pucha called East Hampton Town Police after a friend found Armijosβs body, but claims they were not helpful in giving the family answers as to what happened, 27east reported.
βI never got any kind of report from the police,β he told 27east on Tuesday. βWe still havenβt heard anything from the police. I donβt know why ... whatβs going on here.β
