Bridgehampton Man Sentenced to Life in Prison For Fatal Christmas Shooting
The man was charged with killing a 19-year-old man while robbing an auto body shop in Medford in 2013.

A Bridgehampton man charged in a Christmas morning murder at an auto repair shop in Medford in 2013 was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole plus 25 consecutive years in court on Tuesday.
On Dec. 25, 2013, Brandon Davis, now 21-years-old, along with two accomplices, shot four people while attempting to rob the shop, Whitestar MTR, according to police.
Three of the victims were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and the fourth victim, Taleik Bristel, 19, of Patchogue, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Several of Bristel’s family members were in court, including his mother Mattie Ulusoy, who delivered a statement.
“Even though he was only a ‘body’ to Brandon Davis that he bragged about killing to his friends, he was my baby boy. He was someone who was loved very much. Not just by me, but by his sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and a whole lot of other family members, and a host of friends. Brandon Davis took my son’s life. So, I believe it is only right for him to lose his freedom for the rest of his life with no possibility of parole,” she said according to 27east.
“There will never be another merry Christmas,” she added according to Newsday.
During the trial, Prosecutor Glenn Kurtzrock pointed out that Davis had a history of crime as both a minor and an adult.
As a minor he stabbed a classmate with a juvenile and as an adult he was arrested for robbery, drug possession, menacing and violation of probation, Kurtzrock said according to Newsday.
Davis didn’t say much during the trial. He said to the judge “I am innocent,” when askedif he had anything to say before sentencing, according to Newsday.
He is looking to file an appeal.
