Gosman's Dock is bringing the soundtrack of summer to Montauk Harbor with a season-long lineup of live music performances. Throughout the summer, visitors can enjoy an exciting mix of local talent and waterfront entertainment while dining, shopping, and taking in the iconic harbor views that have made Gosman's a beloved East End destination for generations.

Friendly with his indigenous neighbors and at odds with the colonial authorities, Thomas James’ vision of Christian Nationalism challenges us to reject the narrative we’ve received and reconsider the man whose faith defined a community and ultimately landed him behind bars. Come learn about our earliest minister's political protests and struggles from his successor at the modern day East Hampton First Presbyterian Church!
The Reverend Jon D. Rodriguez is the Pastor of The First Presbyterian Church of East Hampton. His love of history brought him to First Church, which was founded in 1648 as one of the oldest Presbyterian churches in the nation. When he isn’t serving the church, Jon is enrolled in a doctoral program through the University of Edinburgh and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary where his work focuses on the theology and worship of the Reformation.

The Arts Center at Duck Creek (<a href="https://www.duckcreekarts.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.duckcreekarts.org/</a>) will continue their 2026 Music Series with the Kayvon Gordon Sextet on Thursday, July 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening features Kayvon Gordon on Drums, Joel Ross on Vibraphone, David Leon on Saxophone, Elias Stemeseder on Piano, Dean Torrey on Bass and Shakoor Hakeem on Percussion, with Kayvon Gordon, Joel Ross, David Leon and Elias Stemeseder being Duck Creek Music Series alumni. 

“We will be doing a completely improvised set of music, with the idea that we’ll be listening the entire time, which I suppose already puts us in pretty ambitious territory…I got into this type of work by playing a lot of different types of music and realizing that a lot of the deepest moments occurred before you could really name them or pin them down,” says Kayvon Gordon. “I’m really attracted to the danger in that. I like the fact that music can still surprise the people making it and the sound of this band is very much that, very much the sound of inventing a language while you’re speaking it.”

Kayvon Gordon was born and raised in Detroit. At a young age, he was taken under the mentorship of legendary trumpeter Marcus Belgrave. Later, he went on to the University of Michigan where he studied with Robert Hurst and Benny Green. Gordon has performed In Europe, Africa, South Asia, The United Arab Emirates, and North America. He has also had the honor of sharing the stage with Marcus Belgrave, Joe Lovano, Johnny O’Neal, Robert Hurst, Rodney Whitaker, Sullivan Fortner, Ravi Coltrane, JD Allen and Wynton Marsalis, to name a few. Kayvon Gordon seeks to contribute to the forward-thinking aesthetic of his contemporaries while honoring the rich musical legacy of Detroit.

Colin Patrick Harper hails from the tiny island of Bermuda. In the music industry, he is known as the reggae artist Collie Buddz. Buddz was born on August 21, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from high school, he attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, where he decided to study studio engineering. Upon graduating from the top in his class at Full Sail in 2006, Buddz began looking for work in the recording industry as a performer or producer. One of his first major gigs was working with recording star Shaggy on the single "Mad Mad World" from Shaggy's new album at the time entitled Intoxication, which was released in 2007. That was the same year Collie released his self-titled debut album with Sony Music with tracks such as ‘Come Around’ and ‘Blind To You’. The album was a success and well-received by critics. WWE (World Wrestling Enterprises) fans would immediately recognize Buddz's voice from the entrance theme ("SOS") for WWE superstar wrestler Kofi Kingston, which was included on the 2008 compilation WWE The Music, Vol. 8. Over the next year, he would continue making guest appearances on the works of many other artists.
It is no small coincidence that his stage name "Buddz" is slang for marijuana. There have been photographs taken of the artist holding bongs and other pot-smoking paraphernalia over the years. Of course, other reggae artists such as Bob Marley have made weed seem an essential part of the reggae lifestyle. When not working in the studio, Collie found himself selling out venue after venue on one of his many exhaustive tours. Now with new music being released and a good reputation under his belt, Buddz finds himself playing at some of the biggest reggae music festivals all across the world such as, Reggae Rise Up, One Love New Zealand, and California Roots Music Festival
At the end of the decade, Buddz started his own record label called Harper Digital. In 2011, he would finally release his second album entitled Playback followed shortly with the Blue Dreamz EP. Buddz would then go on to release his next album, Good Life, fully independently through Harper Digital with features from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Jody Highroller, and the Bay Area’s very own, P-Lo.
More recently, he has finished up his fully self produced album Hybrid which came out in the spring of 2019. Hybrid is Collie Buddz's third full-length album. The album is fully produced by Buddz and features two tracks with Russ, as well as tracks with Tech N9ne, B Young, Stonebwoy, Dizzy Wright, and Johnny Cosmic. The first five songs on the album have been released and highly praised as singles. The FADER called "Love &amp; Reggae" a "quintessential reggae jam," and Billboard praised "Bank" feat. Russ &amp; B Young, claiming "Buddz effortlessly [flowed] on the self-produced melody." Meanwhile, "Bounce It" featuring Ghanian Grammy nominee Stonebwoy has gotten radio play around the world including on Sirius XM Pitbull's Globalization channel, and Buddz's latest single "Show Love" has quickly earned radio play on Sirius XM The Joint and was added to Spotify's elite New Music Friday playlist.

Beloved by her peers, Carlile has worked with artists such as Soundgarden, Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Hozier, Noah Kahan, P!nk and Dolly Parton, was named OUT Magazine’s Icon of the Year, awarded Billboard’s Women In Music Trailblazer Award and NMPA’s Songwriter Icon Award as well as multiple awards from the Americana Music Association. Carlile is also a founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised over $9M for grassroots causes to date and lives in rural Washington state with her wife and two daughters.

The Montauk Historical Society is the nonprofit organization that owns the Montauk Point Lighthouse. It costs over $1.6 million a year to run the lighthouse and museum. Special events, like its annual benefit concert, are an essential way to fund programming and maintenance. An extensive restoration of the tower and the exterior of the museum was completed summer of 2023 after over five years of work and planning, and at a cost of $1.8 million. It was funded by grants, generous donations, and admission fees. A $38 million revetment, led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and New York State’s Department of Environmental Control, was completed that same year, and will safeguard the lighthouse for future generations. The mission of the Montauk Historical Society is to collect, restore, preserve, and display historically significant buildings, objects, and writings, and to preserve the history and cultures of Montauk and the East End for this and future generations.
