This exhibit will focus on the events that happened in the Hamptons during the American Revolution and British occupation, along with the experiences of local residents during the war,&nbsp;including those who fled to Connecticut. The exhibit will feature letters and muster rolls, which provide names of those who served in the war, along with information about Meigs' Raid on Sag Harbor. The wreck of the HMS Culloden, and information about the British Naval presence in local waters will also be included.&nbsp; Visitors can expect to see original documents and letters from the Long Island Collection's holdings.This exhibit will be held in the Long Island Collection and will run through July 11th.

Join Group for the East End staff member, Jennifer Skilbred, to learn all about the magnificent ospreys that visit East Hampton and the East End every spring and summer. The Group has been monitoring ospreys for over three decades, including a 2025 survey of active nests across the East End. The ospreys have a conservation success story to be celebrated, and efforts continue to protect this amazing species.

Gosman's Dock is bringing the soundtrack of summer to Montauk Harbor with a season-long lineup of live music performances. Throughout the summer, visitors can enjoy an exciting mix of local talent and waterfront entertainment while dining, shopping, and taking in the iconic harbor views that have made Gosman's a beloved East End destination for generations.

MY MEETING WITH PUTIN &nbsp; A novel by Lyle Greenfield
 &nbsp;
A fortuitous family connection makes it possible for an ordinary citizen with an extraordinary idea to meet with President Putin. An idea for a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine. Guarded interest on Putin’s part sends the protagonist to Zurich to develop the proposal with a Russian professor of political science. Then to Brussels to present the plan to NATO’s Secretary General, and to Paris for meetings with President Macron and President Zelenskyy. At the same time the FBI is seeking the man who is believed to have had an unauthorized meeting with Putin—a possibility that infuriates President Trump.
The story is told by the protagonist, who places on full display his determination, naïveté, and sense of humor. It poses the greater question: Why, in this age, must countries continue to wage war rather than explore solutions to problems, however complex? Many real persons, events and places form the foundation of this timely novel. When a ceasefire is finally achieved the reader may in the end wonder, Well, why not?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lyle Greenfield is the author of several books including Uniting the States of America—A Self-Care Plan for a Wounded Nation, The Soul Mate Expeditions, and 1000 Days in St. Barth. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Bowling Green University.&nbsp;
Greenfield began his career in New York City as a copywriter and creative director for several large advertising agencies. In 1989, he founded Bang Music, a commercial music studio providing original music and audio services for all media. He is a founding member and former president of the Association of Music Producers (AMP) and co-creator of the AMP Awards for Music and Sound.
He resides in Amagansett, New York with his wife, Mary Jane.&nbsp;

St. Luke 's Episcopal Church

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church invites the community to the annual St. Luke’s Summer Fair on Saturday, July 5, on the church lawn in the heart of East Hampton Village.
A treasured East Hampton tradition, the Summer Fair is a joyful day for families, neighbors, parishioners, and summer visitors. Admission is free, and children’s wristbands will be available for $40 for children ages 2 and older to enjoy fair activities, including classic games, pony rides, and other family-friendly fun.
Guests can also enjoy a food stand, bake sale, vintage clothing, silent auction, and other favorite fair traditions. Proceeds from the Summer Fair support St. Luke’s and its outreach efforts, including local nonprofit partners such as Springs Food Pantry and Maureen’s Haven.
Free parking is available off Maidstone Lane behind the museum.
Come spend the day with us and celebrate one of East Hampton’s most cherished summer community traditions.
