Carol Galvin Foundation Charity Gala Fights Breast Cancer
Rick Galvin of CG Talent brings local and national talent to the Hamptons to help raise money for the fight against cancer .

Amagansett , NY-
On Saturday October 25th dozens of people from across Long Island and elsewhere made a trip out to the town of East Hampton for a special event. The occasion was a fundraiser for the Carol Galvin Foundation for the fight against breast cancer. The Carol Galvin foundation created by talent manager Rick Galvin (Founder of CG Talent) in honor of his mother Carol who passed away from cancer when rick was just 11 years old . He created the foundation so that no other child would have to go through what he went through especially at such a young age .
This years fall benefit was held at the Stephen Talkhouse which is located at 161 Main street in Amagansett. The event included live music by Long Islands own country DJ the one and only DJ Yankee who started off the event playing a mix of country tunes as well as some other music to warm the crowd up while the red carpet event was happening in the background with photo ops and the stage crew was finishing setting up for the first performance of the evening.

At just after 7PM up and coming singer 17 year old Jordan Plantinga of Dix hills took to the stage . Jordan performed a 20 min set which included some covers by hot artists like The Script, Maroon 5, and more . The crowd enjoyed it and it paved the way for the next band which was a group of FDNY members who call themselves Afterburn.
The main Performer of the Event was someone who Rick not only considers a client but a friend Actress/Model and rising pop star Meredith O’Connor. Meredith is currently on an antibullying tour which includes schools in the US and the UK but wanted to be there for this very special event. She performed a few of her very own songs as well as a cover of Martina McBride’s Im Gonna Love You Through It .
