Dr. Judith S. Weis is a Professor of Biological Sciences at Rutgers University, Newark. She is the author of four books, the most recent, Marine Pollution, What Everyone Needs to Know

Dr. Weiss received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and MS and PhD from New York University. Her research focuses on estuarine ecology and ecotoxicology, and she has published over 200 scientific papers, many of which focus on local estuaries. Dr. Weiss has spoken to environmental groups, natural history societies, fishing clubs, scuba clubs, and birding groups about salt marshes, fish, and marine pollution.
