Celebrate Your Senior: 'She Is Our Rock Star'
"Molly was born to be a leader, according to her kindergarten teacher, and has shined on all the way through to high school."

EAST HAMPTON, NY — For so many students who should have been enjoying senior year with prom, graduation, and other milestone events, the coronavirus crisis has meant that sadly, dreams and long-awaited celebrations have been put on hold.
Patch would like to shine a light on these amazing young people and their accomplishments; a new series "Celebrate Your Senior!" launched this week, inviting proud parents and others to spotlight the young people whose accomplishments can't be derailed by coronavirus.
Rich and Laurie Mamay said they wanted to nominate "our awesome daughter" Molly McGrath Mamay, a senior at East Hampton High School.

"Molly has a strong passion for not only the environment but the culinary arts," the Mamays said.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Language society, the National Art Honor Society, the Century club, Athletes Helping Athletes, and is student representative for the Herrick Park redesign committee.
Molly, her parents said, has played varsity volleyball all through high school and varsity track during her freshman and sophomore years.

During the summer, she spends her time working as an East Hampton Town lifeguard, a junior lifeguard instructor, and as a babysitter and swim instructor, all while training for national lifeguard competitions.
"In an effort to stay busy during these hard times, Molly has devoted her time to exploring the world of baking and continuing her environmental internships," her parents said.
She will be attending the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse to study landscape architecture.
"She is our rock star and we are so proud of the strong, determined, honest, loyal, and fun-loving lady she has become. The world awaits you, Molly, and we can’t wait to see you shine!"
Congratulations, Molly McGrath Mamay!
