Community Continues To Rally For East Hampton Naturalist Injured In Fall

There's a benefit for Dell Cullum on May 23 at The Stephen Talkhouse and GoFundMe donations are still being accepted. Here's how to help.

AMAGANSETT, NY — Friends continue to really to help an ardent animal lover in East Hampton who was badly injured in a fall recently.

The Amagansett Chamber of Commerce announced that a benefit concerned has been planned to help Dell Cullum; the event will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at The Stephen Talkhouse.

"Life in a small town means that one cares for, and about, one's neighbors and friends. Some good people have gotten together to benefit another good person and friend: Dell Cullum," the Chamber's Facebook page reads.

Musicians who'd like to perform should contact Katherine Che at katherine.c.h.e.singer@gmail.com. Those who'd like to donate artwork should reach out to Karyn Mannix at karynmannix@optonline.net. And those interested in providing raffle donations should email Lori Schultz at lmschultz@hotmail.com.

"It will be a good time for a great cause," the Chamber said.

A GoFundMe page set up in April by Mushie Anderson, "Dell Cullum," has raised $14,095 of its $20,000 goal so far.

"Dell's getting surgery in the morning . . . lots of prayers. He fell off a ladder two stories down trying to save some animals. Please help this guy that helps the environment and all the animals that no one else does. He's an awesome person," the page reads.
