Drunk Driver Crashes Car in East Hampton: Police

EAST HAMPTON, NY - A Farmington, CT man was arrested after he drove drunk in East Hampton and was involved in an accident, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Miles A. Bouckoms, 28, was arrested on April 17 at 11:50 p.m. after he drove his 2003 Jeep north on Abrahams Path by Asa's Path while drunk and was involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Upon investigation, police said Bouckoms had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, "his one opened eye was bloodshot and glassy," and he was unsteady on his feet.

Bouckoms was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, police said.
