EAST HAMPTON, NY — A beloved annual tradition was back after the pandemic this year as the East Hampton Antiques & Design Show returned to Mulford Farm recently to the delight of treasure seekers.

The event, which benefited the East Hampton Historical Society, featured honorary chairperson Marshall Watson, a light in the interior design canvas, and took place earlier in July.

"The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is widely recognized as the premier antiques and design event on Eastern Long Island and a highlight of the newly awakening East Hampton arts and social calendar," organizers said.

A preview cocktail party offered patrons an early peek at the array of antiques, jewelry, textiles, collectibles, furniture, and accessories available.

“History runs deep in our community. The East Hampton Historical Society celebrates our past, engages our minds, and helps us to reinvigorate our stewardship responsibilities for future generations to come,” said Watson. “As a vital community looking to the future, it is imperative that we acknowledge, respect, restore, preserve, and learn from our past.”

The Mulford Farm, located on James Lane in East Hampton Village, is maintained by the East Hampton Historical Society; the 3.5-acre property features a restored 17th-century farmhouse as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island.

The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show included offerings presented by 50 antiques and art dealers, housed in elegant white tents. The focus of the show was on vintage decorative items for the home and garden as well as art, organizers said.
