🌱 East Hampton Daily: ARF Saves Brimley + Warm Coats Needed
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in East Hampton.

Welcome back, East Hampton! Diane Witek here to help you get started this Tuesday with everything you need to know going on today in town.
First, today's weather:
Breezy and cooler. High: 42, low: 33.
Here are the top stories today in East Hampton:
- ARF Shares Brimley's Heartwarming Journey To Adoption. The first of a "Happy Tails: Life-saving Stories of Hope" video series, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, aka ARF, recently shared a heartwarming story about Brimley, a rescue dog who just needed the proper attention and understanding to become emotionally and physically stable and find his forever home. (Dan's Papers)
- Needed: Warm Coats. Stony Brook Southampton Hospital kicked off a winterlong coat drive last week, asking for donations of new or gently worn coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to help people in need. They can be dropped off at the hospital on Meeting House Lane, the Southampton Town Police Department headquarters at 110 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays, or the Quogue Village Police Department at 115 Jessup Ave. The drive will run through Feb. 25. (East Hampton Star)
- Familiar Face Tapped As New East Hampton Planning Director. Jeremy Samuelson will take the helm on Jan. 3; he fills the spot vacated by JoAnne Pahwul, who retired in June. Samuelson was a longtime resident of East Hampton, where he served as president and executive director of Concerned Citizens of Montauk from 2012 to 2017. (East Hampton Patch)
