  1. LI's Coronavirus Positivity Rate Close to 5 Percent: According to Gov. Kathy Hochul, the positivity rate on Long Island as of Tuesday stood at 4.95 percent, up from 2.75 percent on Oct. 15. The governor predicted New Yorkers would begin to see an uptick after families traveled and gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday and urged people to get vaccinated and tested, as well as to adhere to protocols including mask-wearing, hand-washing and social distancing. Southampton Town Housing Authority, Habitat For Humanity Of Suffolk Held Riverside Home Demolition Ceremony: As part of their mission to strengthen communities by providing quality, affordable homes for deserving families in Suffolk County, the Town of Southampton Housing Authority and Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk are working jointly to build five houses in Riverside in the Town of Southampton. They held the first demolition at an abandoned, unsafe home located at 73 Old Quogue Road and an adjoining lot at 69 Old Quogue Road. (LongIsland.com)
