East Hampton High School Ranked No. 97 in New York

Niche.com has released its 2016 ”Best Public High Schools in America” list, with 29 Long Island schools among the top 100 in New York.

The top ranked school in New York is Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. The first Long Island school on the list is Jericho Senior High School, which ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 13 nationwide.

Overall, Long Island schools took a dip in the rankings compared to Niche’s 2015 list, which included 35 Long Island high schools among the top 100 in New York. East Hampton fell from No. 58 to No. 97 in the new rankings.

“The teachers at this school are really great. They take the time and effort to make sure that every student understands the lesson,” a East Hampton student wrote in a review of the school on Niche. ”A lot of teachers come early in the morning and stay after classes to help student with homework or questions about the lesson.”
