East Hampton House & Garden Tour Kick Off Party: Photos

The 33rd annual event was held at the Maidstone Club.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The East Hampton House & Garden Tour was off to a grand start with a kick-off cocktail party on Friday.

The beloved annual event, now in its 33rd year, was held at the Maidstone Club.

Among those in attendance were local dignitaries, architects, interior designers, home enthusiasts, design aficionados and history buffs.

"We look for a historical building that can accommodate 300-plus people. We’re thrilled to have hosted our annual event at the Maidstone Club because it is such an important and iconic building” said Joseph Aversano, event chairman.

Next, on Saturday, the East Hampton Historical Society hosted the 2017 House & Garden Tour, which spotlights notable architecture in the Hamptons. This year’s tour included comprised 5 homes and gardens.

“The House & Garden Tour is one of our most important fundraisers,” Aversano said. “This year’s tour is a visual feast of stylish houses. So, while you’re breathing in the sea air and enjoying the varied terrains and architectural styles, your dollars will support the East Hampton Historical Society’s museums and programs."
