East Hampton Man Busted for Driving Drunk on Sunrise Highway: Police
The man was stopped initially for multiple traffic infractions, police said.
WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS - An East Hampton man spent the night behind bars after he was caught driving drunk in Hampton Bays early Monday morning, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, Orlando Montufar-Ramirez, 44, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. on Sunrise Highway after he was stopped for multiple traffic infractions and a subsequent investigation revealed him to be intoxicated.
He was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, transported to police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
