East Hampton Town Board Adopts Resolution To Reduce Airport Noise

The East Hampton Town Board agreed to reduce airport noise during its meeting last Thursday.

The East Hampton Town Board agreed to reduce airport noise before the 2015 season begins at its meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18, 27east reports.

A resolution which said the board β€œintends to adopt whatever lawful measures to ensure the peace, quiet, tranquility, and health of communities affected by airport noise” was adopted unanimously, according to 27east.

The resolution states there could be β€œrestrictions on helicopters and/or other aviation operations at the airport.”
