East Hampton Town Police Lieutenant Appointed New Sag Harbor Village Police Lieutenant
The lieutenant will start his new position on Jan. 1.

East Hampton Town Police lieutenant AJ McGuire was appointed as the new lieutenant of the Sag Harbor Village Police Department at a special board meeting on Tuesday.
McGuire will be replacing current Chief Thomas Fabiano and after he takes his terminal one-year leave starting in January, will be appointed the acting chief of the department.
He will begin as lieutenant starting on Jan. 1, 2016.

“I am extremely excited to serve Sag Harbor—this is a tremendous opportunity,” McGuire said after the meeting, according to a report in 27east.
McGuire, a Noyac resident and member of the Sag Harbor Fire Department, has worked as an East Hampton Town Police for 18 years.

He was one of four applicants for the position in Sag Harbor.
Village Mayor Sandra Schroeder told The East Hampton Star that McGuire “is quite the go-getter,” and “would be a good leader and someone the other officers would admire and respect.“
