This free 7-week program is aimed at reducing the risk of falls in seniors. Information on identifiyng risk factors and what steps can be taken to reduce your risk, free vision screenings, medication reviews, home safety assessment, nutrition to prevent fractures and the benifits fo regular exercise and what type is best. This program also includes a sepcialized beginner level ballroom dance class designed for seniors and those with balance issues. Both seated and standing options are shown to accomodate a wide variety of abilites. Medical clearance is required well in advance of the start date and all participants need to be evaluated by a licensed physical therapist at the start and end of the program.
