Events Expected to Cause Traffic Delays in East Hampton Town This Weekend

East Hampton Town Police have warned residents that serveral special events this weekend will effect traffic patterns throughout the Town.

On Saturday morning, due to the Soldier Ride, drivers can expect interruptions on Route 27 from Amagansett to East Hampton at about 9 a.m., and Route 114 delays between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

On Saturday Night, due to the Great Bonac Fireworks, drivers expect slow traffic departing after the fireworks show in Three Mile Harbor on surrounding streets between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

On Sunday Morning due to the Montauk Lighthouse Sprint Triathlon, some delays can be expected on East Lake and West Lake Drives, and Route 27 East to the Lighthouse from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Drivers are also advised to use caution with event cyclists.

“All good causes to support, and community events,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Please make arrangements to avoid these areas, and be patient.”
