Both Bridgehampton and Montauk held elections for fire commissioner on Tuesday.

Both the Montauk and Bridgehampton Fire Districts held elections for fire commissioner on Tuesday night.
While the Bridgehampton district could not come up with results because of confusion with the ballot count, the two candidates, Philip Cammann and John O’Brien will meet Wednesday to discuss the outcome, according to 27east.
In the Montauk district, Richard Monahan beat out incumbent Edward Sullivan, 215 votes to 147 votes. He will be sworn in January, 27east reports.

Michael Mirras, who will be filling the empty seat, running unopposed, gained 326 votes, 27east reports.
