Original story:
An East Hampton Village mansion on West End Road by Georgica Pond was destroyed by a fire that broke out on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report in 27east.
No injuries have been reported and police have not yet confirmed if anyone was in the home at the time of the fire, which caused the roof of the home to collapse, according to the report.
Along with the East Hampton Fire Department, the Montauk, Springs, Amagansett, Sag Harbor, Southampton and North Sea departments assisted in putting out the blaze, according to the report. Water tankers from Southampton were called in and had to be stationed at the corner of Lily Pond Lane and West End Road to assist in pumping water since they could not get through the narrow roads, according to the report.
