Police: Man's Body Found Near Boardwalk in Long Beach

Long Beach Police are investigating the death of a man found Tuesday morning on the beach near the Boardwalk.

Police rushed to the shoreline in Ocean Beach Park near National Boulevard at 6:53 a.m., cops said. A passerby called police after spotting a body near the shore, police said.

First responders confirmed that the victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was deceased.

Police said the man was in his 60s and had identification with him. His car was also found nearby.

The medical examiner is still investigating the incident. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
