Fundraiser Collects Over $10,000 For Children Of Local Woman

A Gofundme account, "Help Darcy's Kids", helped to raise money for the children of an Amagansett woman who passed away late October.

In under two weeks, a Gofundme account created for the children of a local Amagansett woman who passed away from cancer, managed to raise over $10,000 for her children.

According to the page, started by Allison Lupo, Darcy Rodriguez passed away in late October.

She had two children, Colin, 13, and Katalina, 11, who currently don’t have any family members to take care of them and have been staying with a friend of Rodriguez’s.

The goal was to raise $5,000, but as of Thursday, $10,115 have been donated to ”Darcy’s Kids” according to the page.

β€œThank you all for your continued support and donations,” Lupo writes on the page. β€œIt’s a blessing to live in this amazing caring community.”
