Girl Struck by Car in East Hampton Identified, Family Contacted: Police
BREAKING: The girl was unable to speak coherently at first to tell authorities who she was, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY β A female teenager struck by a car in East Hampton Tuesday has been identified, police said.
Police have made contact with family members, police said.
"Thank you all for what you do and your repeated assistance in these situations," police said in a release.

Police initially asked for the public's help to identify a teenage girl who was hit by a car in East Hampton Tuesday.
According to East Hampton Town Police, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Springs Fireplace Road and Abrahams Path at 5:24 p.m.; the girl was conscious but incoherent.

She was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, authorities said; police were unable at first to identify her or notify her family members.
