Huge Outpouring Of Love For Man Who Suffered Brain Injury

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The community has come together in an amazing outpouring of love for a local man who suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Miller sustained a fracture to the skull on March 3 requiring emergency neurological surgery and a two week stay in Stony Brook University Hospital, the page said.

He has since been relocated to a rehabilitation center specifically designed for treating brain trauma injuries, and will have to undergo a second surgery at some point in the future to install a plate to replace the portion of the skull that was removed, the page said. His physical and mental cognitive skills are still being evaluated.

"Although his future at this time is unknown, we truly hope for a full recovery. Many family and friends have generously donated over the past few weeks, and many others have been asking how to assist," the page said.

The page was set up those for those who want to help Miller and his wife Diane and their family; funds collected will be used for any unanticipated medical costs, travel, future lifestyle modifications and continued therapies. A special account has been designated to pay those bills when they arise over the upcoming months.
