ICYMI: Amagansett Man Accused of Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

A local man is accused of allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend in her bedroom on last Tuesday night, according to a report in The East Hampton Star.

Michael D. Marran, 48, of Amagansett was arrested for assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief, and unalwfully entering the house with intent to commit a crime, according to the report. He pleaded not guilty to all misdemoner charges during his arraignment on last Wednesday in East Hampton Town Justice Court and entered a denial on the felony charge, according to the report.

Susan Swanson, the woman accusing Marran of the charges, was treated for injuries at Southampton Hospital on Tuesday night, according to the report. Marran will return to court on March 5.
