Independence Party Primary Election Results

The Independence Party primary election for East Hampton Town Councilmen were held on Thursday.

Lisa Mulhern Larsen, who was chosen by the East Hampton Republican Party for town councilwoman, received one of two Independence Party ballot slots.

With 80 votes, Larsen beat out Democratic candidates Peter Van Scoyoc, who received 72 votes and Councilwoman Sylvia Overby, who received 71 votes, according to the Suffolk County Board of Elections.

In East Hampton Town, 1,053 residents are registered Independents, according to 27east.
