Underrated Local Beach Has 'The Whitest, Most Pristine Sand In New York'

MONTAUK, NY — An East End beach was in the spotlight recently, voted "most underrated, with the whitest, most pristine sand in New York."

A post by onlyinyourstate.com gave a nod to Hither Hills in Montauk, stating, "Covering over 1,750 acres of Long Island, Hither Hills State Park features a dreamy beach."

Hither Hills, the post says, offers many trails, "leading visitors through dunes and picturesque scenery."

And, to make the destination even more magical, Hither Hills offers campsites, as well, according to the site.
