LongHouse Reserve Hosts Glorious Private Garden Tour: Photos

It was a beautiful day for enjoying nature's splendor in East Hampton.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — It was a celebration of nature Saturday afternoon when Matko Tomicic, executive director, and the LongHouse Reserve board of trustees invited guests for a private reception and garden tour.

"LongFellows," or major LHR supporters, were invited to the home of NYU Dean Carol Mandel and world renowned infectious disease expert, and LongHouse Trustee Dr. Vincent Covello.

Dr. Covello proudly gave tours of the grounds of their unique "Yugen gardens," which feature 31 interconnected areas in a variety of styles, including the "native plants experimental garden," the "rhododendron forest walk" and a Japanese bridge.
