Man Arrested For Driving While on Drugs in East Hampton Village: Cops
The incident occurred last Wednesday.

An East Hampton man was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs in East Hampton Village last Wednesday morning, according to East Hampton Village Police.
While on routine patrol, an officer noticed a car driving east on Newtown Lane by Park Place with no license plate light at about 1:15 a.m., according to police.
After stopping the car by 32 Newtown Lane and speaking with the driver, identified as Michael Dower Jr., 23, the officer found that “his eyes were red and glassy, his speech was slurred, and he seemed lethargic,” police said.

Dower told police he had one beer and took some prescription drugs in addition to smoking some marijuana, according to police.
He also failed all roadside sobriety tests, according to police.

He was arrested for DWAI by drugs and transported to police headquarters for processing, according to police.
