Man Busted for DWI After Accident: Police
Police saw several beer cans strewn about the car, authorities said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A New Jersey man was charged with driving while intoxicated after an accident in East Hampton, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, John K. Wessberg, 27, on North Bergen was arrested on Saturday at 10:36 p.m. on Swamp Road near Passing Road, after he drove a 2003 Dodge Ram east and was involved in an accident.
Upon investigation, police said Wessberg had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, slurred speech, and watery, bloodshot eyes.

The arresting officer saw several cans of beer on the passenger side and on the ground next to the driver's side of the vehicle, police said.
Wessberg was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, police said.
