Man Caught Driving Drunk After Crash: Police

Cash bail was set at $500, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was charged with driving drunk after he crashed his vehicle, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Eduardo F. Castillo-Quinteros, 40, was arrested on Cedar Street on October 8 at 7:59 pm.. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1 percent alcohol or more in blood, first offense, a misdemeanor, and driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor.

Castillo-Quinteros was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima east on Cedar Street when he was in a crash, police said.

Upon contacting him, there was a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and he was unsteady on his feet, police said.
