Man Cuffed for Driving Drunk on Middle Highway: Police
The man drove over the white shoulder markings, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - An East Hampton man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Middle Highway, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Ernesto Cumbe, 23, was arrested on Sunday at 2:40 a.m. after he was seen failing to stay on the righthand side of the road and driving over the white shoulder markings.
Upon investigation, police said there was "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage" on Cumbe's breath; he also had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and was unsteady on his feet, police said. Cumbe also performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.

He was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, police said.
