Man Drove 'Erratically' and Drunk in East Hampton: Police
The driver kept braking and accelerating before he was stopped, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - An Arizona man was arrested in East Hampton and charged with driving drunk after "erratic" braking on the road, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, David Wade, 57, was arrested on Friday at 2:10 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.
Police said at 1:49 a.m., Wade wrongfully operated a 2016 Ford, heading south on Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road by the intersection of Woodbine Drive.

Wade, police said, was seen "braking erratically," unable to maintain a steady speed, slowing up and accelerating at various speeds for no apparent reason until stopped on Three Mile Harbor Road by the intersection of Oak View Highway.
Upon investigation, police said, Wade was found to have the "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage" on his breath, bloodshot and glassy eyes, and slurred speech; he was also unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.
