Man Resists Arrest, Elbows Officer, Spits in Cop's Face: Police

The man also flailed his arms and pulled away from officers, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Richmond Hill man was charged with resisting arrest in East Hampton recently, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Karim A. Baksh, 26, was arrested on Sept. 25 at 1:10 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Montauk and charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation, after he flailed and pulled his arms away from officers until he was subdued; he also spit at and elbowed a police officer, authorities said.

Bail was set at $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond, police said.
