Man Shoves Child, 7, Chokes, Strikes Woman: Police

The man also shoved the woman in front of her child, police said.

WAINSCOTT, NY — A Montauk man shoved a 7-year-old child before choking, striking and shoving the child's mother, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Wilson Fabian Guanga, 39, was arrested on Sunday at 10:26 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Wainscott and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, and two counts of second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation.

Guanga, police said, "shoved the victim's seven-year-old child while or before grabbing the victim . . . by the neck with two hands and shoving her in the presence of and close proximity to" the child.

He also grabbed "the neck of the victim. . .with both hands, pushing upwards, applying pressure, impeding her breathing," police said.

Cash bail was set at $300, police said.
