Man Who Always Lends A Helping Hand Needs Support

MONTAUK, NY — His friends say that Klaus Jackel is the kind of man who always lends a helping hand — opening the doors of his home and cooking up a delicious meal for guests.

But the tables have turned and Jackel needs help, those friends say.

A GoFundMe page, Klaus Jackel, was created by Gwendolen Bokine on behalf of Chris Jurgensen.

Jackel, friends say, has been through a "traumatic experience," including heart surgery, brain seizures, and pneumonia.

"The thought of losing him jolted us," the page said.

But Jackel, friends say, has fought his way through severe illness to make his way back home.

Now, he needs financial help to provide him with the proper professional care he needs, the page says.

"I know that we all want to see Klaus' smile and hear his laugh once again," Bokine wrote, adding that he'd love a visit from friends. This time," she said, "Klaus needs you."
