Montauk Man Busted for Driving Drunk: Police
The driver was pulled over for failure to stop at a stop sign, police said.
A Montauk man was caught driving drunk recently, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Christopher P. Montemarano, 29, was arrested on Dec. 14 at 10:25 p.m. on Edgemere Street after he was caught driving a 2013 Nissan north and failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Edgemere Street and Industrial Road.
Upon investigation, he was found to have the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy, eyes, slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and released on his own recognizance, police said.
