Motorcyclist Drove Drunk on Main Street in East Hampton: Police

EAST HAMPTON, NY - A motorcyclist was caught driving drunk on Main Street in East Hampton, police said.
According to East Hampton Village Police, Arnold Rivas-Ovalle was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Main Street in East Hampton Village after he was seen without a helmet and failing to signal for a turn.
After police turned on their overhead lights, Rivas-Ovalle drove onto a sidewalk on Park Place and into the parking lot of a business, authorities said.

He had the "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath," slurred speech, and bloodshot, glassy eyes, police said.
He also failed all roadside sobriety tests administered, police said.

Rivas Ovalle was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated and taken to East Hampton Village police headquarters for processing and morning arraignment, where he was released on $500 cash bail, police said.
