32-Year-Old Woman Hit by SUV in Montauk Critically Injured

The accident occurred on Montauk Highway on Friday morning.

A 32-year-old Montauk woman was critically injured after being hit by an SUV in Montauk on Friday morning, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police., at 6:35 a.m., a GMC Yukon driven by 64-year-old Robert J. Budesa was heading east on Montauk Highway when it struck Mariana Guanga Baculima.

Guanga Baculima is believed to have been walking in the crosswalk by South Elder Street at the time of the crash, police said. She was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition, police said.

Budesa was not injured. No criminal charges have been filed.
