Police: 3 Hurt, 1 Seriously in Eastport Crash
A 31-year-old Mastic Beach man is seriously injured in Saturday night crash, police say.

A Mastic Beach man was seriously hurt and two others suffered minor injuries in a crash in Eastport Saturday night, police said.
According to police, Arnold Furcal was driving a 2002 Ford Expedition west on Sunrise Highway when his vehicle left the road, struck two guardrails and crossed into the eastbound lanes, west of County Route 51, at 8:10 p.m. The SUV then collided with a 2005 Honda CRV, police said.

Furcal, 31, was airlifted by Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Honda, Arthur Ireland, of Deer Park, and a passenger in the Honda were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
