Police: 4 Killed, 3 Injured in Farmingdale Crash

Four people are dead and another three are in the hospital following a devastating crash in Farmingdale early Saturday. 

According to Nassau police, the accident occurred at 12:04 a.m. when a 2001 Nissan that had been traveling westbound on Conklin Street crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with a GMC Suburban. 

Three people in the Nissan–two males and one female–were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Staples Street, police said. The male driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital, where he was also pronounced dead, police said.

A fifth person, a male, in the Nissan, as well as the 53-year-old male driver of the GMC and a female passenger in the SUV, are in the hospital in serious condition, police said. 

Police have not released the names of any of the victims.

Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks as the investigation into the crash continues, police said.
