
A Flanders man was arrested on a drug charge in East Hampton on Thursday morning, according to East Hampton Village Police.
While on routine patrol, an East Hampton Village Police officer saw a car driving west on Newtown Lane near Osborne Lane in East Hampton.
The driver of the car was pulled over for having tinted windows on Newtown Lane and Cooper Lane.

While talking to the driver, Patrycjusz Rus, 19, the officer noticed there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to police.
When asked about the smell, Rus said that he had a small amount of marijuana in the center console in a small ziplock bag, police said.

He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and non-transparent side windows, police said.
He was transported to East Hampton Village Police headquarters where he was processed and released on a $100 bail, police said.
